Review by Sarah Taylor, 20th July 2010
Following the launch of Golden Hat Bingo in March 2009 the operator has grown at an
astonishing rate and now boasts over 65,000 players and offers Jackpots
higher than some of the traditional market leaders. At the time of
writing their progressive Jackpot has reached a whopping £2.6m.
We wanted to find out how they did this and what sets them apart so we
contacted Golden Hat Games to find out a little more. At first we were
puzzled by the name so this was the first thing we asked about and
found out there was nice logic behind the brand – we were told “We want
to serve our players as prince and princesses. That’s why we have
chosen the name Golden Hat Bingo”.
So aside from the brand we then focused in on their games, which are
powered by a custom and fully featured version of Virtue Fusion’s
industry leading software, complete with in-game social networking, the
ability to upload photos, create a profile and make friends with fellow
bingo players. Bingo comes offered in 90, 80 and 75 ball versions, the
graphics are very well produced and the layout works well and with the
chat and networking section on the left, which puts an emphasis on
creating a social game. There are also a wide range of mini-games
including Scratchcards, Number Games, Slots and Jackpot Slots.
After firing up the game on a Monday evening and entering the lobby we
found what seemed like endless games that were all filling up quickly
with players, so their site really is very active and made for a good
and social game. Your tickets get auto daubed and the bingo balls get
called out by a male with cut down bingo lingo for a faster game.
As well as their progressive Jackpots there are a series of £1.5k - £4k
guaranteed jackpot games running daily and a £10k guaranteed game on
the last Sunday of every month. The sign up bonus is 100% of your
initial deposit up to £250 (they basically double your money). There is
also a 25% reload bonus and they also offer 50% when it’s your birthday.
All round a flawless new bingo operator that captivates its audience
and is a really fun experience. We thoroughly endorse and recommend GHB
as they seem to have done everything right. They have also provided us with an exclusive sign-up BONUS CODE so (if your a new player) you can get £26 free to play with.
